Your Ceremony: Step by Step

Planning a ceremony can feel like one of the most uncertain parts of the day.

You might know you don’t want something traditional or scripted but not quite know what you do want instead.

That’s completely normal.

My role is to guide you through the process, so it feels clear, calm, and genuinely reflective of you.

STEP 1 — STARTING WITH A CONVERSATION

Everything begins with a conversation.

We’ll talk about you—how you met, what matters to you, and how you want your ceremony to feel.

There’s no pressure to have everything figured out.

This is simply a chance to explore ideas and begin shaping something that feels right.

STEP 2 — SHAPING YOUR CEREMONY

From there, I’ll begin to write your ceremony.

Not from a template, but from everything you’ve shared.

I’ll carefully shape the structure, the flow, and the wording so that it feels natural and easy, while still holding the moment properly.

You’ll have the opportunity to read through everything, make changes, and refine it together.

STEP 3 — WHAT CAN BE INCLUDED

One of the most important things to know is that there isn’t a set format.

A ceremony can include whatever feels meaningful to you.

That might be:

– your story, told in a natural and personal way
– personal vows
– readings (from friends, family, or something meaningful to you)
– music
– symbolic elements, if they feel right
– moments of reflection or stillness

Or something much simpler.

There’s no expectation to include anything that doesn’t feel like you.

STEP 4 — FINDING THE RIGHT BALANCE

Often, it’s not about adding more, it’s about finding the right balance.

A ceremony should feel considered, but not overworked.
Personal, but not overwhelming.

I’ll help you shape something that flows naturally, so it feels easy to be part of, both for you and for the people there with you.

STEP 5 — ON THE DAY

On the day itself, my role is to hold the space for you.

I’ll guide the ceremony calmly and clearly, so you don’t need to think about what comes next.

You can simply be present, knowing everything has been thoughtfully prepared.

NEXT STEPS

If you’re looking for a ceremony that feels calm, thoughtful, and genuinely reflective of you, I’d love to hear from you.

If you’d like to talk things through, you’re very welcome to get in touch for a relaxed, no-pressure conversation.
